Brooke Wood

Licensed Acupuncturist, MAOM
A native of South Glens Falls, NY, Brooke graduated from Siena College in 2009 with a B.S. in Biology. In 2011 Brooke began studying acupuncture and herbal medicine at the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Her studies include: Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and a one month internship at the Hangzhou Hospital of TCM, in China. She graduated with honors in 2014 with a M.S. in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is the recipient of the Golden Needle Award for excellence in the field of acupuncture . Brooke is licensed to practice in the state of New York Brooke uses a variety of treatment approaches to enhance the body's innate healing abilities. Brooke's other interests include spending time outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.


Lauren and Jacob will be covering Brooke's shifts beginning on January 15th, 2024 while Brooke is out on maternity leave.

LAUREN BURKE- Growing up in a medical family, Lauren developed a fascination with the human body that led her to become a Massage Therapist. For the past decade, she's been dedicated to positively impacting countless clients' lives, addressing a wide range of physical and emotional concerns.

Driven by a desire to broaden her impact, Lauren earned her Masters of Acupuncture in 2023. She is currently an instructor for the Massage Therapy program at Mildred Elley and serves as the Capital Region Representative for the New York State Society of Medical Massage Therapists.

Passionate about community acupuncture, Lauren is thrilled to practice in her hometown!

JACOB LAURENT- Receiving community acupuncture is what inspired Jacob to receive his Master's in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, the oldest accredited Acupuncture College in the United States. Jacob is passionate about helping people get back to doing the things they love through relieving physical, mental and emotional pain. He completed internships providing acupuncture in a variety of clinical settings including the New England School of Acupuncture Clinic in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts and Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Local to the Adirondacks, Jacob has always enjoyed getting outside, spending his free time skateboarding, playing disc golf, or exploring somewhere new with his wife Lauren.
